After months of consultation with members, stakeholders and the wider community, we are proud to share the Westside BID Business Plan for 2025 to 2030. It sets out exactly what the BID levy will fund over the next five years and the outcomes we are holding ourselves accountable to.

Our five priority areas

1. Public realm investment We will continue the programme of street improvements across Broad Street, Brindleyplace and Centenary Square — better lighting, cleaner paving, greener spaces, and small improvements that make a big difference to how the area feels at all hours.

2. Stronger member services A refreshed programme of networking events, business support workshops, and one-to-one introductions to help members get more out of their BID membership and out of each other.

3. Marketing and destination promotion Year-round campaigns to draw visitors, diners and workers to Westside. We will work closely with West Midlands Growth Company and local venues to put Broad Street and Brindleyplace on more itineraries.

4. Safer streets Continued investment in Street Pastors, the Hotel Watch radio network, and data-led crime prevention work alongside West Midlands Police. Safety underpins everything else we do.

5. Health and wellbeing Expanding our Wellbeing Hub provision, including mental health first aid training for businesses, lunchtime fitness programmes, and the Westside Walks series that encourages workers to explore the area on foot.
